Our client has an outstanding reputation for innovative technologies and delivering first-class quality assemblies and critical components for a number of industries including aerospace. 

Due to growth and increased orders, they are now looking to recruit a CNC Miller for a weekday night shift, based at their manufacturing site in Shipley, West Yorkshire.  

Our client is looking for a CNC Miller, there will be opportunity  to upskill to become a multi-skilled CNC Machinist.

The purpose of the role will be to machine precision components to specification ensuring a 'right first time' approach to exceed customer expectations.

  • £40,560 per annum DOE inc of shift allowance for nights
  • Permanent 
  • 40 hours per week, flexible start and finish between 4:30pm/5:30am over Monday to Thursday.

The Role 

  • Working from drawings and instructions to machine first off's 
  • Setting and operating a range of DMG Mori Seiki machines, with Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain controls 
  • Quality checking parts using Mitutoyo CMM 
  • Contributing to lean manufacturing and delivering operational efficiencies within their cell
  • Reporting any non-conformance and support the quality department when investigating the root cause
  • Working on batches of 50-110 plus 
  • Working to tight tolerances (Microns) 
  • Machining Aluminium, Inconel, Titanium and Steel 

The Candidate 

  • You will hold an Engineering Qualification and  have significant experience in CNC Machining 
  • Ability to work from Engineering drawings 
  • Passionate about working to 'right first time' standards 
  • Experience of CNC milling 
  • Ability to work in a positive/collaborative culture where continuous improvement is paramount.
