They are on the lookout for a QESH Manager to join them. As a vital member of their Senior Leadership team, you will be instrumental in steering their strategic initiatives to ensure they exceed expectations in quality, safety, and environmental compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

About the job:
 
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of the department's strategic objectives.
  • Manage the adoption and sustained compliance of the BS EN 1090 EXC Class 2standards for steel and aluminium structures, guaranteeing that all processes and outputs comply with structural component regulations.
  • Ensure that all operations consistently exceed the standards set by ISO 9001, ISO14001, and ISO 45001 to enhance product quality. 
  • Managing the adoption and sustained compliance of the BS EN 1090 EXC Class 2standards for steel and aluminium structures, guaranteeing that all processes and outputs comply with structural component regulations. 
  • Formulate comprehensive audit plans and manage detailed internal, supplier, and subcontractor audits to identify gaps and evaluate the effectiveness of existing QESH management systems.
  • Take charge of accident and incident investigations, meticulously identifying the root causes and effectively reporting the findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop and administer corrective and preventive actions to rectify non-conformances discovered during audits and investigations, ensuring continuous improvement across QESH processes.
  • Lead the creation, administration, and maintenance of comprehensive QESH procedures and policies across the company to meet all applicable standards.
  • Maintain strict alignment with QESH monitoring metrics, uphold final product quality, and ensure adherence to specific legislation including PED/PE(S)R, Machine Directive [CE/UKCA], and HASAWA.
  • Conducting on-site audits, attending meetings with clients, and ensuring that all project sites adhere to our rigorous QESH standards.
 
About you:
 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering or manufacturing sector, with a proven track record in leadership and strategic planning.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of QESH regulations and ISO standards, including detailed familiarity with EN 1090 EXC Class 2.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate required.
  • Internal Auditor Qualification in either ISO 9001 or ISO 45001 is a must (Lead Auditors Qualification) is highly desirable.
  • Valid CSCS card desirable.
  • Responsible Welding Coordinator qualifications are desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A full UK driving license is essential for fulfilling these duties, as you will need to travel efficiently and independently to various locations as needed.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced CAD Engineer to produce general arrangement and detailed manufacturing drawings working collaboratively with our in-house Engineering and Operations teams, ensuring the highest possible standards are met in terms of our own and our customer’s expectations.    Qualities   • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal). • Problem solving skills, a methodical approach to work and an eye for detail are essential for this role. • Self-discipline and the ability to work unsupervised to meet strict deadlines. • Flexible, adaptable and calm when working under pressure. • Be commercially aware to protect businesses interests.    Duties & Responsibilities   • Working from designs provided by our Engineering Team, produce high-quality 3D models of our Acoustic Containers and Air Optimisers which primarily serve the Data Centre Market. • Produce initial GA drawings to submit for customer approval and develop them into detailed manufacturing drawings, using Autodesk Inventor Software. • Produce “As Built” drawings incorporating lessons learned from previous builds working closely with our Operations Team. • Liaise with our internal Engineering / Operations Teams and our external customers as part of ongoing Project and R&D meetings. • Offer suggestions for design changes to increase production efficiencies and optimise material usage. • Communicate at all levels within the business, contribute ideas during design team meetings and undertake site visits / customer meetings as required. • Liaise with our Engineering and Operations teams to ensure our design / drawing fits within budget and highlight any expected cost increases through design changes. • Always ensure drawing accuracy and programme deadlines are met. • Be customer focussed and committed to delivering excellent service. • Ensure that all work is undertaken in compliance with our company’s internal design, safety, quality and environmental processes.    Qualifications/Experience Required   • Advanced level user knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Vault software is essential. • Extensive experience producing 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor is essential. • Recent experience in a role where a minimum of 80% of the working day is spent producing drawings. • Experience working for a fabrication company is essential, ideally one serving the Acoustic Container or Data Centre cooling sectors. • Microsoft Office skills are essential. • Experience managing or leading a team would be beneficial because of the opportunity for progression that comes with this position.     Amazing Benefits!   25 days annual leave, holiday year January – December.
