About the Role:

As a Software Developer, you will support the development and maintenance of a range of systems, including an internal PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system, external portals, MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) systems, and production data capture software. This role offers an excellent opportunity to engage in projects that will enhance the business, working with various stakeholders to assess system requirements, troubleshoot issues, and continuously seek improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Collaborate on the configuration and development of systems across all departments.
  • Provide technical support and training to system users.
  • Continuously assess the need for new software and potential upgrades.
  • Prepare business cases for system-related investments.
  • Create hardware specifications to support system needs.
  • Assist in the maintenance of servers and hardware.
  • Support system upgrades and maintenance efforts.

About You:

 You’ll be a team player with a proactive attitude, ready to tackle complex challenges and offer creative solutions.
 
  • A degree in Computing/Software Engineering OR 5+ years' experience in a Software Developer role.
  • Experience with React or other front-end frameworks.
  • Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Database management experience (MYSQL / MSSQL).
  • Familiarity with CAD systems is a bonus.
  • Strong command of: C# / .NET / SQL (MYSQL / MSSQL) / JavaScript

Ideally, we are looking for someone with a strong background in software and database development, with a keen understanding of system architecture and best practices. However, we are open to candidates who hold a degree, but perhaps are recent graduates/have limited work experience.
